Long Island bahamas deans Blue hole

Amazing and quiet beaches

Some of the best beaches in the world are in the hidden oasis of Long Island, Bahamas.

Cape Santa Maria where the sand feels like flour.

Voted best beach in the world

Feel like you are walking on flour at Cape Santa Maria beach in the very North of Long Island.  Although getting here can be a long drive it is worth a day trip to experience this beach.
Hardings Beach, long island bahamas

Hardings Beach

Take the road across from the yellow tourist office building and mailboat docks in Salt Pond.  Drive to the end of this road and walk the tiny path to the beach.  During low tide many large creatures get caught in the shallows of the pool beside the rock shown above.  Bring your snorkeling gear.  This beach is beautiful and very close to the No Plans villa in Salt Pond.

Harbor Drive Beach Long Island Bahamas

Harbor Drive Beach

Finding the largest lobster I have ever seen in this area it is a very memorable beach.  Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the views.  In Gray’s, turn left on Harbor Drive and follow this road all the way to the end to reach a beautiful beach

OTHER NOTEWORTHY BEACHES:

Cape Santa Maria Beach (north end of Long Island)

(north end of Long Island), this one-mile protected beach is where Christopher Columbus is said to have sailed up on.

Deals Beach has a lot of pine trees offering shade along this 2 mile beach. It is located along the island’s main road. Located on the Caribbean side north of Simms.
Ford’s Beach is one of the island’s best swimming areas with its white sandy beach and crystal clear waters. Just beyond Roses settlement but before Gordon’s. At the Petrol tanks on the right take the next road to the right.
